The House Sitter
The House Sitter follows a sitter that is being attacked by the house he’s watching over. I served as the Director, Cinematographer, Editor, and served as Co-writer alongside my producer Josh McDowell.
For this project, we wanted to experiment with doing practical VFX that didn’t use any Computer Generated elements, while also paying homage to our favorite films like Evil Dead and In The Mouth of Madness. We approached with a light humor that helps guide the film’s pace.

One instance of going practical with the effects was using fishing line to make the bottle appear to be floating.
While keeping a light tone, we still played with shadows and colorful lighting to give a creepy atmosphere.
